Zosima Santos Castaneda, age 74, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away January 27, 2017. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, GA, with Fr. Brian R. Sheridan officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens at 87 Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Zosima was preceded in death by her husband Froilan T. Castaneda, Jr.
Zosima was a native of Manila, Philippines and has lived the past 32 years in the Atlanta area. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, she loved to garden, travel and spending time with her family.
Survivors include: three sons: Frederick, Francis and Robert Castaneda; six grandchildren; one sister and one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
