Yvonne Snipes Smith

Yvonne Snipes Smith, age 85, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, January 18, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bill Snipes and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Pelham, GA, Mrs. Smith moved to Powder Springs in 1973. She worked in food service for Old Fashion Foods and the Cobb County School System for many years before retirement. She was also a member of Doss Memorial Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Smith; parents, William Norwood Snipes and Lela Pollock Snipes; brothers, W.H. (Patricia) Snipes, Henry Snipes, Thurman Snipes and Robert Snipes; brother-in-laws, Reggie Parlette and Roger Brinkley.

Survivors include: Daughter, Elaine (Chuck) McCrary, Powder Springs, GA; Grandson, Casey (Molly) McCrary; Great Grandchildren, Mallory McCrary and Lainey Kate McCrary; Sisters, Leanear Parlette, Pelham, GA and Sue Brinkley, Cairo, GA; Brothers, Bill (Sandra) Snipes, Tennille, GA and Marvin (Judy) Snipes, Pelham, GA; ; Sister-in-Laws, Lillian Snipes, Judy Snipes and Georgia Snipes.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and on Thursday, January 21st from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
