Yvonne Jacinthe Fish

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Yvonne Jacinthe Paquet Fish, age 68, on October 3, 2024. She was born on January 31, 1956, in Magog, Quebec, to Emile and Anne Paquet. At the age of five, her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Maine. She graduated from Madison High School before receiving her nursing degree from Atlantic Union College. While attending college, Yvonne met her future husband, Gail. They were married at the Village Chapel on August 21, 1977, and spent the next 47 years of their lives together. 

A devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, Yvonne treasured her family above all else. She poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them. She made her home a warm and loving haven that was always open to others. As a homeschool mom, Yvonne created an environment filled with love and laughter. After becoming “Grandmommie,” she was never more happy than when she was with her “grands.” 

Her strong Christian faith was a guiding force in her life. Yvonne found strength and purpose in her relationship with God, inspiring those around her to navigate challenges and celebrate life’s joys. Her unwavering faith was her driving heartbeat. 

She had a variety of hobbies over the years ranging from gardening, quilting, reading, cooking, baking, playing games, and card-making. She always looked to share her creativity with family and friends and her love for others was evident in everything she created. 

Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, Gail Judson Fish; her beloved children, Matthew (Michelle) Fish of Fredericksburg, VA; and Maria (Sam) Park of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Abigail, Julianne, Judson, Kinley, Samuel, Amelia, and Emily; sisters, Giselle Paquet of Salt Spring Island of BC, Canada; Franses Paquet-Biehl of Pasadena, CA; and Jeanne Paquet of Los Angeles, CA. She leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends who will carry cherished memories of her in their hearts. She was predeceased in death by her father Emile O. Paquet and her mother D. Anne Paquet. 

A service celebrating Yvonne’s life will be held on Friday October 10th at 11:00 AM. There will be two viewings: Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Friday October 11th from 9:00 AM to 11:00. The service and viewings will be held at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064. 

Yvonne’s legacy of love, faith, and compassion will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. Though she will be deeply missed on this earth, we know she is now resting in eternal peace with Jesus.
