Winton A. Campbell , age 81, of Powder Springs, Georgia, formerly of Smyrna entered into the presence of Jesus on January 31, 2018. There he was reunited with his wife of 62 years, Doris Kalb Campbell. Mr. Campbell's life will be celebrated at 4pm on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Tony Samples officiating. A reception will follow at 5237 Hayden Farms Drive, Powder Springs, GA 30127. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 4, 201 from 2pm until 4pm prior to the ceremony.
Winton worked as an ironworker for 26 years. He worked on the first steel high rise building in Atlanta and many others making up the Atlanta Skyline. After retiring from the Ironworkers Local 387, he went on to work and retire after 17 years at the Hapeville Ford Motor Plant.
Winton's love and humor will be long remembered by everyone who had the privilege to know him. Winton and Doris made great impacts in the lives of many friends, family and strangers.
Winston is survived by his children, Sherri Clinner, Jan Smith and Anthony and Karen Campbell. His grands and greats include, Joshua Campbell, Crystal Clinner, Jessica Campbell, Tye Clinner and Ana Smith. His in laws, whom he loved as siblings, Jim and Diane Kalb, Jane Lindsey and Varena Kalb and many nieces and nephews. Many relatives were there to welcome him into heaven. His parents, Henry and Lillian (Daniell) Campbell; brother, Carlton (Betty) Campbell and brother in laws, Charles Kalb and Don Lindsey.
