William "Jack" Wright

William “Jack” Wright, 81, of Canton formerly of Powder Springs passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Services will be 11am Friday, February 28, 2014 at Floyd Road Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Morris and Rev. Keith Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 1:30p.m. He will lie in state at the church from 10am until 11am.

Mr. Wright was a former member of Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Canton. He was retired from the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Christine “Chris” Wright of Canton; Children, Ronald J. (Paula A.) Wright of Cleveland, Dennis L. Wright of Canton, Charles K. Wright of Houston, TX, Michael D. Wright of Concord, CA, Wendell A. (Gayle) Wright of San Bernadino, CA, Deborah E. Wright of Grand Terrace, CA and Tanya Marie Dale of Ballground; Siblings, Paul L. Wright of Villa Rica, Shirley W. Jones of Mableton, Sandra W. Freeman of Marietta and Linda W. Meyer of Oklahoma City, OK; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6pm-9pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Rd. Marietta, GA 30064.
