William D. Thompson, age 87, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive.
Bill Thompson was born in Rockingham, North Carolina to Ruby and Douglas Thompson. He served in the United States Army. After returning home from Germany, Bill had a long career with the Sears company.
Bill is preceded in death by Ruby and Douglas Thompson, his sister Joyce Thompson, and his wife Evelyn Skaggs Thompson.
Bill is survived by his children Mike Thompson, Leisa (Paul Ginn) Bailey, Mike (Lori) Bailey, Mary Tant,and Bill also leaves 7 Grandchildren.
