Chaplain William (Bill) Hugh Richardson, age 82, of Powder Springs went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 16, 2020. Dad was a faithful servant to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a loving husband, father, granddad, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on January 18, 1938 at Grady Hospital to the late William Alexander Richardson and Annie Marie Thomas Richardson Whatley. He graduated from West Fulton High School in 1956 and went on to graduate from Emmanuel Bible College in 1965. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1967. He retired as a business owner of Richardson Painting and Wallcovering after many dedicated years of hard work. His greatest legacy was as a Mighty Man of God preaching many sermons over the years and leading many souls to Christ. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Thelma Juanita (Nita) Richardson, his sister, Anne LaRue Holley and brother in law, Kenneth Eugene Holley. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Melanie Michelle and Michael Jon Cooper; son, Steven Anthony Richardson; sister and brother in law, Cherryl Whatley Moss and Hugh D Moss Jr.; grandchildren, Kimberley Katelyn and Joshua Steven Richardson, Madison Elaine and Emma Grace Cooper along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00am at House of the Lord Church in Marietta, GA with Pastor Jack Valentino officiating.
Flowers will be accepted at West Cobb Funeral Home until Friday, March 6, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
