Born William “Scott” Lucas , on March 20th, 1955, he was the son of the late William Matthew Lucas and (late)Thelma Julie Mcie. Scott was raised in a loving household by Virginia and William Lucas. He was raised and educated in Beckley, West Virginia. He attended South Cobb High School in Marietta, Georgia. Upon graduating from High school he gained employment with Coca Cola, Corporation in Atlanta, GA.
He met the love of his life “LeAnn Linn” in 1985. On September 10, 1987 they joined together in holy matrimony – a union that would remain strong for 26 years until his passing.
Scott’s passion was Cars, Cars, Cars! From a small child to the very end he cherished the automobiles and motorcycles in his “fleet.” Friends were often entertained in his “racing shrine” where they sat among his treasured NASCAR collectables and watched the race. Scott worked at Ed Voyles Chrysler for over 20 years. His Sales excellence was overwhelming number of sales awards and too many “Saleperson of the Year” awards to even count.
His love of the outdoors was camping, motorcycle riding and the “most important” car racing. All that knew Scott clearly understood the importance of “Dale Ernhardt Sr” and what he brought to the sport of racing. We know Scott is hanging out with Dale Sr. right now.
Together, Scott and LeAnn enjoyed a life of travel and friendships with people from all over. He always made sure that the important moments in life were celebrated with his cherished LeAnn and friends. Scott and LeAnn were a team, they were always together and the chemistry for them was one of ‘true love’ and dedication to their marriage.
Scott is survived by family members whom he loved unconditionally: His wife, LeAnn Lucas, his daughter “the precious CHEVY PUG” and his mother, Virginia Lucas-Jones of Celina, TN; and an outpouring of uncles, aunts and cousins from West Virginia, Tennessee, Louisiana and Florida.
