William Lee Kirk

William Lee “Bill” Kirk, Sr., age 76, of Acworth, GA passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.



A native of Marietta, Mr. Kirk served in the United States Navy for 22 years, including a combat tour during Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, he started Kirk Enterprises, and specialized in custom cabinetry and countertops for 25 years. He was a member of several organizations, including the Kennesaw Masonic Lodge, the Shrine Yaraab Temple, the York Rite, and of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs. He was preceded in death by his former spouse, Anne Milne Kirk, a son, William Lee Kirk, Jr., and step son, Douglas Edwin Brown

Son: John C. Kirk and wife Sue, Blythewood, SC



Step Son: Charles Robertson Brown, Acworth, GA



2 Sisters: Anne Underwood, California

Kay Dodge, Cumming, GA

5 Great Grandchildren

Daughter-in-law: Darlene Kirk, New Hampshire
