William Franklin English

William Franklin "Bill" English, age 75, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023. A Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow on Tuesday, March 14th at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

Everyone that met Bill, truly walked away laughing. When he wasn't cracking jokes, Bill spent his time building, tinkering with cars and model airplanes. Bill's true passion was flying and he spent many hours in the sky. Before following his passion of flight and working as an Air Traffic Controller with the FAA, Bill served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Bill's love for his family was only rivaled by the deep love he had for Jesus. Bill was a devoted husband, father, family member and friend. He will be missed dearly and we move forward with confidence knowing he is rejoicing with his heavenly father.

Bill leaves behind a legacy that includes; His wife, Leesa Fowler English

His Children, Christy (daughter) and Norman McCarren, Kathy (daughter) and Kevin Sanders, David (son) and April English

His grandchildren, Desiree Sanders, Meagan Sanders, Brittany English, and Tyler English

His great grandchildren, Noah Dobbins and Sunny Dobbins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
