William Donald Davenport

William Donald Davenport, age 75, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Monday, February 11, 2019. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.

A native of Texas, Mr. Davenport moved to Cobb County, GA 30 years ago. He retired from WorldCom/MCI after a long career in telecommunications. He was a man of great faith, and served as an Elder at Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Tulsa, OK, University Church of Christ in Tampa, FL and Powers Ferry Road Church of Christ in Marietta, GA.

Survivors include: Wife, Karen Davenport; 4 Children, Scott Davenport, Murfreesboro, TN, Troy Davenport, Florence, AL, Sharla McFarland, Ellijay, GA and Jill Carter, Acworth, GA; Brother, Jim Davenport, Manfield, TX; Sister, Sherry Hernandez, Hollis, CA; 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren
