William Eugene Casey

William Eugene Casey, age 94, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta. A Memorial Service will be held later that day at 2:00 pm at Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating.

Born in Hiram, GA, Mr. Casey lived in Cobb County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII. He retired as a Claims Supervisor with Zurich American Insurance Company. Mr. Casey was an accomplished soloist, and had sang with the Casey Family Quartet for many years. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adez Casey, in 2018, and a son, Alan Casey, in 2010 and a sister and 4 brothers.

Survivors include: Son: Michael Thomas (Karen) Casey, Cleveland, GA: Daughter: Jan (Mark) Elrod, Marietta, GA; 7 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.

Donations may be made in William Casey's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
