William Joseph "Joe" Burel

William Joseph (Joe) Burel, age 85, of Smyrna, GA passed away Feb. 9, 2018. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 12:30pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Moranville Burel, daughters Christine Kernan Burel and Kimberly Gail Burel-O’Neal, grandson Specialist Zachary Joseph O’Neal, US Army, brother Farrell Burel, sister Donna Jane Burel Pressley and sister-in-law Jeannette Burel.
In his early career Joe worked in the food industry and later as an accountant. He and Mary retired early to begin woodworking together. They made doll furniture, children’s toys and furniture and traveled to craft shows throughout the Southeast for 20 years.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, February 12, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm.
