Virginia Marcell Cooper

Virginia Marcell Cooper, age 94, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1578 Cunningham Road Southwest, Marietta, GA 30008 with Bishops Antoni Parker and Toni Parker officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

Born in Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Cooper lived in Riverdale and Brooks, GA before moving to Cobb County in 1998. She enjoyed working with and taking care of her late husband, Percy Lavell Cooper, and she loved gardening. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Cooper and Gerald Cooper. 

Survivors include: Son, Kevin Cooper; 2 Granddaughters, Heather (Elijah) Pietrocola, Cumming, GA, and Rhonda (Michael) Zepp, Powder Springs, GA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Marietta, Georgia. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia Cooper's memory to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1578 Cunningham Road Southwest, Marietta, GA 30008.
