Verta Lee Brun, age 94, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away February 2, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Dr. Nelson Price officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Mrs. Brun has been in the Cobb County, GA area since 1949. She has also been a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church since 1949 where she helped start the kindergarten program there in 1963; she also enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her:
Husband of 73 years, Johnny Brun
Two children:
Jane "Murl" Bishop of Powder Springs
Todd "Traci" Brun of Austell
One Sister:
Eloise Smith of South Carolina
Six Grandchildren:
Maria, Neal, Marcella, David, Dana and Emma
Seven Great-Grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
