Travis Floyd Smith, Sr.

Travis Floyd Smith, Sr., age 78, of Marietta, Georgia passed away May 24, 2021. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta, GA with Rev. Grant Cole and Pastor Joe Postell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. He was predeceased by his parents, Rev. James Garfield Smith, Sr. and Emma Irene Smith, and his brother Eric Wayne Smith, Sr.

Travis was a native of LaGrange, GA living most of his life in Marietta, GA. Travis was a member of Open Bible Tabernacle Church in Marietta. He worked as a machinist at Lockheed Martin for 56 years and was a proud member of the I. A. M. Local Lodge 709 and was also a member of Nelms Masonic Lodge #323.

Travis is survived by his wife Elaine Smith, his son, Travis F. Smith, Jr.; daughter, Darlene Hanson (Jim); son, Richard F. Smith; son, George R. Smith (Bobbie); step-son, Kerry Richardson (Karen); step-son, Randy Richardson; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Galloway (Tad), Jarod Smith (Amber), Austin Crews (Penelope), Paul Smith, Arin Burke, Rachel Smith, Victoria Schultz (Shane), Jacob Smith (Genevieve), Joshua Smith, Anthony Erion, and Kenneth Richardson; brother, James Garfield Smith, Jr. and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Travis Smith's memory to Open Bible Tabernacle Church.
