Thomas William Elrod Jr., age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away December 18, 2018.
It is with great sadness the family announces his death due to Pulmonary Embolism. He was born Nov 23, 1951 to Bill and Murrell Lawson(Elrod) and was the oldest of three children. Tommy was a 1969 graduate from Campbell High School in Smyrna, Ga. He was a Freemason, Honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in 1970, and was owner operator of Elrod Mechanical.
He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Kelly (Billy)Carter, fiancée Janet Hughes of Alabama, Sister Lesa (Jim) Bressner and Brother Johnny (Denise) Elrod. Grandchildren Bailey Gill (Trey), Bryce Hopkins, Mattie Brenan Elrod, Little Billie and Jaxon Carter, and great granddaughter Aspyn. Numerous Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and some of the best friends in the world. Tommy was predeceased by his father Bill, and sons Todd and Trip Elrod.
A get together will be held at Dogwood Country Club, Austell Ga. Robin Burruss Officiating but please feel free to share your stories from 7 till 8pm. From 8 to 10 There will be a cash bar offered to anyone who wishes to stay and celebrate him home.
