Thelma Ann Thompson

Thelma Ann Thompson, age 79, of Marietta passed away March 28, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 7305 Georgia Highway 166, Douglasville, GA 30135 with Rev. Randy Shirley officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William E. Thompson. She is survived by her children: Brad Thompson of Douglasville, Shelby Thompson Varner of Marietta, Marty Thompson of Smyrna and David Thompson of Acworth; brother, James Williams of Smyrna; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson lived in the Atlanta area for 75 years and was an administrative assistant at Bristol Myers Squibb before retiring. She enjoyed being a pianist for several area churches for over 50 years.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mrs. Thompson’s memory. The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064.
