Theda Mae Skeen

Theda Mae Skeen, age 98, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Monday, June 14th, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Landmark Church Chapel in Glendale, Ohio, with Rev. Matthew Helton officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 25th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Landmark Church Chapel with the service to immediately follow. Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens in Glendale, Ohio.

Born and raised in rural Kentucky, Mrs. Skeen spent over thirty years living in Cincinnati, Ohio raising her family with her husband, John, and her parents, Lela Mae and August Ballew. Theda then moved to Georgia in 1990 to be near family, although she left behind her sister, Ruth's family, her brother Johnny's family, and the Hart family- neighbors who became family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, ice cold Coke, homemade popcorn, and a good joke. Mrs. Skeen is preceded in death by her husband, John Fletcher Skeen and her daughter, Winnie Skeen.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Cathy Baker, Hammond, LA and Debbie Helton, Kennesaw, GA; Sister-in-Law, Vola Ballew, Hamilton, Ohio; 9 Grandchildren, Michele, Matthew, Holly, Amanda, Brittany, Benjamin, Marcy, Garrett, and Casey; 16 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
