Susan Jeanne "Grammy" Klippel

Susan Jeanne "Grammy" Klippel, age 73, of Acworth, Georgia passed away January 24, 2019. A funeral mass will be held THURSDAY, JANUARY 31, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marietta with Father Mark Starr officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. A reception will follow at Provinos, 440 Ernest W. Barrett Parkway NW, Kennesaw, GA. 30144 https://provinos.com immediately following the graveside service.

Mrs. Klippel graduated high school from St. Agnes Academy and college from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She then taught at Kennedy High School in Indianapolis before earning her Master's Degree in Special Education at West Georgia College in Carrollton, GA. Mrs.Klippel taught Special Education at Wheeler High School in Marietta, GA for 26 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and also was a former member of the Brookstone Country Club.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Lee Klippel; her children, Brian Klippel of Acworth, GA., Nicole Nowell of Dallas, GA. and Melissa Hunkin of Cumming, GA.; her sister, Margaret Anne Hull of Greensburg, IN; her brother, Harry "Mickey" Dietz Jr. of Carmel, IN; and eight grandchildren.
