Stephen Kovach Jr.

Mr. Stephen W. Kovach, Jr., age 85 of Powder Springs, passed away July 18, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10 am in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton.

Mr. Kovach was born in Akron, OH and lived with his family in Miami, Florida before moving to Georgia in 1971. He was a proud veteran of the Unites States Air Force having served in the Korean War. He was a Delta Pilot for 33 years before retiring. He loved all things aviation and was an avid RC racer and traveled all over the United States to race. He was a member of the Paulding County Flying Club. He loved and cared for his family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Norma Jean Kovach, Powder Springs; children: Stephen Michael (Reeca) Kovach, Lithia Springs, Vickie Lee Kovach, Powder Springs, Gregg Stuart Kovach, Johns Creek and Bruce Philip Kovach, Marietta; grandson, Eric Michael Kovach; sisters: Marguerite Crider, Long Beach, CA and Thelma League, Spartanburg, SC.
