Shirley Yates Holloway

Shirley Yates Holloway, age 84, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Gary Shultz officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

A native of Newnan, GA, Mrs. Holloway moved to Cobb County in 1958. She was a former member of Concord Baptist Church and Austell First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. She was currently a member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and she loved to cook for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Holloway, in 2020.

She is survived by: 6 Daughters, Angela (Larry) Spangler, Fairmount, GA, Kay (Tommy) Cofield, Dahlonega, GA, Joy (Tim) Gray, Calhoun, GA, Joan Nellis, Acworth, GA, Dawn (Dale) Calvert, Powder Springs, GA and Melanie (David) Sanders, Acworth, GA; 10 Grandchildren, Stephen Cofield, Brandon Spangler, Kristin Shultz, Daniel Cofield, Stephanie Sheagren, Chris Cofield, Taylor Huffstutter, Justin Sanders, Torrey Huffstutter and Lindsey Sanders; 8 Great Grandchildren, Kaydence Spangler, Bridger Spangler, Hayden Shultz, Violet Shultz, Avonlea Shultz, Londen Sheagren, William Sheagren and Walker Sheagren..
