Shirley Clackum Cantrell

Shirley Clackum Cantrell, age 88, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away November 3, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA with Pastor Mitch Roginsky officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Mrs. Cantrell was a native and life time resident of Cobb County, GA. She was a member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. She loved watching and feeding the red birds and deer. She loved traveling, puzzles, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include: husband of 70 years Gene Cantrell of Powder Springs, GA; two daughters: Teresa (Kenny) Price of Powder Springs, GA and Toni (Mark) Atcheson of Dallas, GA; six grandchildren: Hannah (Sam) Rambo, Vanessa (Joe) Miller, Devan Hendrix, Jared Atcheson, Aaron (Alaina) Price and Amanda Atcheson (Shannon Mobbs); ten great-grandchildren; two sisters: Joyce Fairchild of Pensacola, FL; Brenda (Ken) Wiley of Marietta, GA and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley Cantrell's memory to Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center, 975 East 3rd Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
