Shelton Naylor Morrison, Husband, Daddy, Grand Daddy, Coach Shelton, The Big Cheese, passed away July 7, 2018. He was surrounded by love and covered in his “girlies” caring arms.
Shelton’s life was one well lived - lived the exact way he deemed fit. Simply put, he did what he wanted… with no regrets. His life was full of softball, golf, cards, camping, managing his business and loving his girlies. He has mentored generations of brilliant women, including his daughters, granddaughters, their friends, and the many young women he coached over the years. He was loyal, compassionate, funny, charming, and he loved, deeply. Shelton brought love and laughter with him, everywhere he went and will be missed, immensely.
Shelton leaves behind his beautiful girlies - wife, Cheryl Morrison, of Powder Springs, GA; daughters: Nichole & husband Jeff Gunn, Katie & husband Jeff Bailey, and Kacey & husband Jonathan Davis. He leaves his beautiful granddaughters, – Payton, Hannah and Kamryn Bailey; Lyla Davis, and B2D2 (baby Davis 2) due in December; brothers: Dr. John and wife Rita Morrison, David Morrison, sister Marilyn & husband Eddie Williamson; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 11th, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
The funeral is Thursday, July 12, 2018, starting at 11am, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. Burial will immediately follow at Cheatham Hill Cemetery.
Afterward, the family will receive friends and family to the home of Katie Bailey.
