Shellene Marie Johnson

Shellene Marie Johnson, age 50, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Friday, November 30, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. She will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the ceremony. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native of Marietta, Shellene graduated from McEachern High School in 1986. She attended Valdosta State University, then graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Journalism. She worked as a paraprofessional with the Paulding County School System for the past 8 years, most recently at P.B. Ritch Middle School. She was a member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving in the children's ministry.

She is survived by her Husband of 26 years, Kevin Johnson; 2 Daughters, Anna Johnson and Rebekah Johnson; Parents, Fred and Cheri Gantt; Grandmother, Beverly Adam; Sister, Tracy (Jason) McNaughton; Brother, Kevin Gantt; Nephews, Caleb and Logan McNaughton, Niece, Makenzie Gantt, and Nephew, Landon Gantt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Ministry at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 5th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
