Sharon Wanamaker, age 75, of Marietta passed away March 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 21 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Pastor Richard Hemphill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the funeral service. Interment will follow in California at a later date.
Mrs. Wanamaker was born in Massachusetts, lived in California and moved to Georgia in 1991. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Trinity Fellowship serving wherever the opportunity arose. She was Chairman of the Deacons at Westminster Presbyterian church for five years and enjoyed tutoring second graders at Lockheed Elementary alongside her husband for many years.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda and is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Wanamaker of Marietta and children: Bill (Diane) Wanamaker of Anniston, AL, Karen Chiaravalle of Burbank, CA, Marti (Mike) Kluss of Eastvale, CA; siblings: Jean Andersen, Linda Garner, Les Thompson; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren on the way!
