Sarah Elise Reece

Sarah Elise Reece, age 95, of Buford, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Cheatham Hill Baptist Church in Marietta with Pastor Ryan McElhaney and Rev. Steven McEntyre officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30pm at Big Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Woodstock, Georgia. She will lie in state at Cheatham Hill Baptist one hour prior to the ceremony.

Born in Marietta, GA, Mrs. Reece lived in Buckhead and Suwanee for many years before moving to Buford. She was a longtime member of Cheatham Hll Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the VFW. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Shorty" Reece, in 1996.

Survivors include: Daughter: Pat (Douglas) Mitchell, Buford, GA; 2 Step Sons, Danny (Janie) Reece and Hershell Reece; 3 Grandchildren, Angela (Eddie) Hicks, Douglas Mitchell, Jr., and Dawn King; 8 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great-Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sarah Reece's memory to Cheatham Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
