Sara Gearldene Cook

Mrs. Sara Gearldene Cook, age 84, of Mableton passed away April 30, 2017. Mrs. Cook was formerly employed with Marietta Drapery as a drapery finisher. She enjoyed singing and listening to country, blue grass and gospel music, crocheting, shopping, fishing, walking and short road trips with her son Wayman and two dogs, Pete and Herschel. Mrs. Cook was a member at Riverside Church of God of Powder Springs, GA (formerly in Atlanta, GA).
She was preceded in death by her Father, Earnest Lee Garner, her Mother, Lois Garner and her Husband, William Edward Cook. Mrs. Cook is survived by her son, Wayman Cook of Mableton, GA; Siblings, Dorothy Conn, of Dallas, GA, Charles Garner of Clarkston, GA, Bobby Garner, of Dallas, GA, Jimmy Garner of Mableton, GA, Irene Pressley, of Acworth, GA and Brenda Singleton, of Acworth, GA; and Many Nieces & Nephews. The family will be receiving family and friends on May 13, 2017 from 1:00pm to 1:45pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:45pm, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, located at 1167 Angham Road, Hiram, GA 30141.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Wayman Cook, to help with funeral expenses.
