Sanford R. Phillips, age 97, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Mike and Tammy's home, 4199 Cartersville Highway, Dallas, GA 30132, on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2pm until 5pm.
Born in Randolph County, Alabama, Mr. Phillips lived most of his life in Cobb County before moving to Dallas, GA 2 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served at the end of WWII. He worked as a Barber for 67 years, owning and operating Phillips Barber and Style Shop in Smyrna. He was also an active member of Seven Springs Church in Lithia Springs. He was preceded in death by his wife whom he married in 1945, Alene Phillips, in 2017.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Tammy (Michael) Sanders, Dallas, GA, and Sandra (Barry) Morgan, Carmel, IN; Brother, Talmadge (Jane) Phillips, Franklin, GA; Sister-in-Law, Ann Phillips, Newnan, GA; 5 Grandchildren, Tiffany (Aaron) Calhoun, Ashley (Matt) Holdiman, Whitney (Scott) Bradley, Brittany (Blake) Dickmeyer, and Lindsey (Matt) Barker.
