Sandra Wood Gordon

Mrs. Sandra Wood Gordon passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Gordon on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 11 AM at West Cobb Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 6-8 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Lumber City, Georgia and raised in Gordon and Ivey, Georgia and later moved to Marietta. She worked for Chrysler Motor Company and Continental Insurance Company. Mrs. Gordon was a member of Ivey Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and bowler; she was a fan of University of Georgia Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball. She was a member of the Hooker T's bowling team in the Continental Bowling League, and she loved traveling to the beach. She loved her family and was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt.
Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by: her parents, Myrtle and L.K. Wood; her sisters, Brenda Wood, Linda Amerson; and her brothers, Junior Wood and Glen "Fox" Wood.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by: her husband, James Harrison Gordon, Jr.; her children, Steven Wesley (Marcy) Gordon, Jennifer Gordon (Jason) Fleury, Glenda Gordon (Derek) Torres; her grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Gordon, Coulton Harrison Torres; her sister, Janet Wood (Zane) Kent; and many nieces and nephews.
