Mr. Sam V. Lindsay, age 86, of Marietta passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. Private Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, May 14 with Rev. Randy Cheek officiating.
Mr. Lindsay was born in Alabama and has lived in Atlanta since 1953. He attended Olive Springs Baptist Church and served in the Merchant Marines. He worked as a Millwright and Machinist for many companies across the United States and retired from Lockheed Martin.
He is preceded in death by his son, Phillip Dale Lindsay and is survived by his wife, Betty Lindsay of Marietta and son, Kenneth (Wanda) Lindsay of Dallas; brothers, Burk Lindsay of Douglasville and Murray Lindsay of Mableton; grandchildren: Brennan Couch of Roswell and Phillip Cole Lindsay of Marietta and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Donations may be made in Mr. Lindsay’s honor to the Eagle Ranch Children’s Home at www.eagleranch.org .
