Ruth Evelyn Williams died peacefully at her new home in Littleton, CO on Thursday, April 2, 2015. After living for 20 years in both Smyrna and Austell, GA., Ruth moved to CO in December 2014 to be near her family. Her daughter, son-in-law and three granddaughters were with her when she passed on to heaven.
Ruth was born in Altoona, PA on September 27, 1923. She married E. Eugene Williams on June 12, 1945. Ruth was an active partner with her husband in Christian ministry all over the world, after graduating with a Bible degree from Practical Bible Training School (now Davis College) in PA. Ruth served as a pastor’s wife for many years and continued teaching Bible studies until just a few years ago.
Ruth, due to her own health issues, developed a wonderful ministry of nutritional healing. She served on the board of the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education, located in Wynnewood, PA.
As a devoted wife and mother, Ruth dedicated her life to her family. Her son, Roger Williams, and her husband, Gene Williams, both have preceeded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Payne (Chris), Roger’s wife, Rachel, and her four granddaughters, Kat Oltmans (James), Sara Bentley (Jeremy), Kristy Matteson (Ron) and Joy Williams Yetton (Nate).
A service to celebrate Ruth Williams’ life will be held at the West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064 at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8th. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. Online guestbook:
