Ruth A. Noggles, 84, passed away Saturday, May 17 at Elmcroft of Milford Chase. Ruth was a lifelong Atlanta native before moving to Marietta in 2013. She was born in Cabbage Town and lived there for 29 years before moving to Buckhead. She went to work for Southern Bell when she was 17 and retired from Bellsouth in 1987.
Ruth, who lost her mother, Radie Lee, when she was five years old, was raised by her father, Paul Noggles; her grandmother, Mattie Noggles; and her aunt, Allie Blalock (96) of Winder. Ruth was preceded in death by her mother, Radie Lee; her father, Paul Noggles; her sisters, Helen McCray and Addielee Cordrey; her niece, Paulette Champion; and her favorite nephew in-law, Mickey Cannon.
She is survived by her niece, Diane Cannon of Marietta; great nieces, Misty Cannon Skedgell and her husband John; Kerry Cannon Fraser, and her husband Alan; great nephews, Cam Cannon and his wife Carrie; and Chad Cannon and his wife Shera. She is also survived by 11 great, great nieces and nephews.
She also leaves to cherish her memory, her very best friend, Juanita Hitchens of Atlanta; and Jeff Larsen, who made shopping at Publix a pleasure.
