Runette McElreath Nance

Runette M. Nance, age 87, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, November 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Owl Rock United Methodist Church in Atlanta with Rev. Cilas Menezes officiating. Interment will follow at Owl Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 1pm until 2pm at the church.

A native of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Nance moved to Cobb County in 1977. She worked for Fulton County for 23 years in accounting and bookkeeping. Afterwards, she was proud to travel the United States and Canada driving for the Baggett Trucking Company. Then she worked for the Municiple Electrical Authority of Georgia (M.E.A.G.). Mrs. Nance was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Marietta. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Margaret Barbetta, and her brother, Walter Malcolm McElreath, Jr.

She is survived by her 3 Children, Wanda (Harris) Robinson, Marietta, GA, Roger D. (Leslie) Nance II, Marietta, GA, and Sheila Margaret Evans, Griffin, GA; Sister, Shirley Williams, Greensboro, GA; 10 Grandchildren, William Berkenkamp, Kimberlee Stephenson, Della Spoon, Joseph Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Breanna Johnson, Benjamin Robinson, Birch Nance, Richard Nance, and Tara Jarzombek; 13 Great Grandchildren.
