Rosa Lee “Betty” Williams, 81, was granted her angel wings on May 15, 2014. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Betty had touched throughout her short, yet memorable life.
Ms. Rosa Lee “Betty” Williams was born October 24, 1932 to the late Alice P. Hutson and Julius Doyle in Marietta, GA. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. James Williams and birthed 4 beautiful children throughout their union. Betty leaves to celebrate her life, Elmer “Elmo” J. Williams of Atlanta, Pamela D. (Richard) Galloway of East Dublin, and Wanda C. Scott of Marietta. Betty is also survived by siblings Janice D. McMickens, Benjamin “Frank” Cannon, and Jerald “Ronnie” J. Williams, along with 27 Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Her son, Johnny C. Williams Sr., precedes her in death.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 2pm in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta.
