Ronald Charles Werner, Sr., age 75, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Private family services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
A native of Cincinnati, OH, Mr. Werner moved to Cobb County in 1980. He retired after a long career as a Master Technician at General Motors from 1964 until 2010. Afterwards, he worked as a bus driver with the Cobb County School System for the last 10 years. Mr. Werner was a avid Golfer and Race fan, and had attended the Indianapolis 500 for the past 60 years, and the Brickyard 400 for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Classic Glass Corvette Club in Marietta, and the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. He was also a member of West Ridge Church in Dallas.
Survivors include: Wife of 40 years, Bonnie Mills Werner; 4 Children, Kevin Scott (Kathy) Werner, Jacksonville, TX, Ronald "Chuck" (Fay) Werner II, Crestwood, KY, Shannon Ashley Werner, Kennesaw, GA and Jennifer Michelle (Robert) Carlisle, Hiram, GA; 3 Siblings, Robert Elmer (Suzanne) Werner, Maineville, OH, Lawrence W. (Sue Ellen) Werner, Huntsville, AL and Linda (Dennis) Werner-Baird, Oakley, OH; 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
