Ronald Edward Irvin

Ronald Edward Irvin, age 84, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Pastor Mike Boatfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.


A native of Griffin, GA, Mr. Irvin moved to Marietta 20 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Army National Guard. He retired from Law Enforcement with the State of Georgia after over 30 years of service. He had also attended FBI School, worked as a Bailiff for the Cobb County Superior Court, and was a longtime member of Macland Baptist Church. He also loved making wood crosses and giving them away.

Survivors include: Wife of 62 years, Faye Irvin; 3 Children, Greg (Kristin) Irvin, Griffin, GA, Scott (Michelle) Irvin, Griffin, GA, and Ashley (Steve) Crane, Marietta, GA; Brother, Kenneth E. Irvin, Griffin, GA; Sister, Betty Ann Pitts, Griffin, GA; 10 Grandchildren, Taylor Irvin, Alec Irvin, Christopher Smith, Shawn Smith, Meagan Smith, Hunter Irvin Chastain, Hayden Irvin, Matthew Crane, Pierce Crane, and Tyler Carter; 5 Great Grandchildren, Wyatt Smith, Emily Smith, Lloyd Smith, Cole Carter, and Cash Carter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronald Irvin's memory to Macland Baptist Church for Missions.
