Roland Forstner

Roland Theodor Forstner, age 82, of Marietta, GA passed away Monday, December 4, 2017. Funeral Services will be held 11am Tuesday, December 19th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Mary Peters officiating. Burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2pm.
Born in Germany, Mr. Forstner came to the United States as an exchange student in 1953. He served in the United States Army and soon after became naturalized as a United States citizen. Following his military service, he worked for Pan American and Delta Airlines, retiring after more than 41 years of employment in the commercial airline industry. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atlanta, and enjoyed family, aviation, gardening and German Shepherds.
