Rodney Mundy

Rodney Joe Mundy, age 78, of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025 in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm prior to the ceremony.

A native of Fayetteville, AR, Mr. Mundy lived in Benton, AR from 1979 until 2010 when he moved to Kennesaw, GA. He worked for and held several positions at ALCOA/ALMATIS before retiring in 2008. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Benton, then a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta when he moved to Georgia. He was an avid bass fisherman and loved traveling the world with his wife, Shirley. Mr. Mundy also enjoyed attending every one of his grandchildren's extracurricular events and activities.

He is survived by: Wife of 57 years, Shirley H. Mundy; 2 Children, Gregory Scott (Rachel) Mundy, Hot Springs, AR, and Kimberly (Denny) Lim, Kennesaw, GA; Brother, Scott (Terri) Mundy, Benton, LA; Grandchildren, Allison (Zach) Mundy-Ward, Katie Mundy, Jackson Lim, Carson Lim, Austin Savage, and Alec Savage; Great Grandchild, Ivy Savage; Sister-in-Laws, Peggy (Charlie) Truitt, and Patti (Aaron) Hellen; Brother-in-Law, Joe Arnn, and many Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends.
