Robert Vernon Mayo

Robert Vernon Mayo, age 68, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, July 8, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.

Born in Miami, FL, Mr. Mayo lived in the Atlanta area since 1978. He retired from Antech Diagnostics in Atlanta after 17 years of employment. Our “old man” loved his family deeply. He was a man who loved GOD and had a personal relationship with him. His purpose in life was loving his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards and watching his favorite tv shows. His greatest joy was being surrounded in the company of his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margarita Mayo; 7 children, Maria McElreath, Cathy Pair, Connie Mayo-Figueroa, Robert Mayo, Margarita Katzmark, Octavio Mayo and James Mayo; sister, Hanson Skates; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a niece and nephew.
