Robert Wayne Jones

Robert “Bobby” Jones, a longtime employee of Yancey Brothers, died peacefully on February 2, 2024 at the age of 72.  He is survived by his daughter, Brandy, and his three granddaughters, McKenna, Kaleigh, and Maggie.

Bobby was born in Atlanta in 1951.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam war and spent 40+ years working on Caterpillar heavy machinery.  Bobby was a passionate fan of motorsports and his beloved Georgia Bulldogs.  He was a problem solver with a mechanical inclination that made him one of the most valuable employees at Yancey Brothers.  He sealed his faith in Jesus in the end. He will be missed deeply by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Bobby will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
