Robert William Granberg, known to the public as Bob, better known to his family as “Swede”, passed away at the age of 76, on August 27, 2023. Bob was born to parents Henry Granberg and Martha Engle on September 13, 1946, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. After graduating high school, Bob served our country in the United States Air Force. The USAF took him through Vietnam and Agent Orange, which he would carry with him the rest of his life. After his military career, Bob began working in Screw Machine Operations. He took a few courses to better his skills and began working with CAD systems. After a few life changes, Bob met Patricia Henry while trying to re-home his dog, but ended up re-homing himself. The two were married on October 31, 1990. Too many cold winters in Elmira, New York, sent the couple to North Georgia, where they settled in Dallas. On a sunny day, you could see Bob whipping through the wind and putting miles on the road on his Fat Boy Harley. Bob enjoyed baseball, could fix anything, was a talented carpenter and an undiscovered drummer, and loved to sit back and relax with a cigarette, a beer, and some good “Chicago” tunes playing in the background.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving furry companions: Fritz, Brute, Holly, and Sister.
He leaves to cherish his memory, dedicated wife, Pat Granberg; son, Joseph Davenport; step-daughter, Nicole Messina; step-son James Messina, and furry companions, Bubba and Sugar.
