Richmond Felton, Sr.

Richmond Felton, Sr., age 77, of Austell, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Maudie Snipes officiating. Interment will follow at Mableton Memorial Gardens.

Born in Lester, GA, Mr. Felton lived in the Atlanta area for the last 50 years. He worked as a Chemical Engineer for Toncee in Smyrna for 25 years, and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Sale City, GA. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and also enjoyed coaching little league baseball, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by parents, John Wesley Felton, Sr. and Sophia Felton, a brother, John Wesley Felton, Jr., and 2 sisters, Rosetta Felton Davis and Carleece Felton Oliver.

Survivors include: wife, Cecilia Ruth Felton, Austell, GA; 4 children, Richmond Felton, Jr., Atlanta, GA, Reginald Zimmerman, Austell, GA, Monique Felton, Austell, GA and Brandon DeMarcus Felton, Austell, GA; 4 siblings, Lovetta Felton Palmer, Auburndale, FL, Mary Della Simpson, Sale City, GA, Murleece Felton Lewis, Atlanta, GA and Aaron Earl Felton, Albany, GA; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws and sister-in-law.
