Richard Oberkofler

Richard Oberkofler, age 80, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Randy Cheek officiating. Mr. Oberkofler was born in Innsbruck, Austria on January 16, 1936 and moved to the area 60 years ago. He was employed as an Electrician and was a member of the Eastside/Olive Springs Campus, IBEW and the Foxy Golfers. He is survived by his Wife, Peggy Oberkofler of Marietta; Children, Mike and Angelia Oberkofler of Marietta, Dan and Paige Oberkofler of Powder Springs and Ken and Tamara Oberkofler of Marietta; Sisters, Isabella Davis of Marietta and Margaret Hill of Innsbruck, Austria; Brother, Hansi Freiseisen of Innsbruck, Austria; Grandchildren, Ben (Jill) Oberkofler, Nate (Kelley) Oberkofler, Jamie Oberkofler, Phillip (Ansley) Oberkofler, Krista Oberkofler, Alex Oberkofler and Max (Whitney) Oberkofler; Great Grandchildren, Rebekah Oberkofler and Finley Oberkofler; Niece, Isabella Hill and Nephew, Billy Davis. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
