Richard Bush Johnson

Mr. Richard Bush Johnson, favorably known as Rich, age 80, of Powder Springs, GA, formerly of Blairsville, GA, passed away August 22, 2023, after a long illness. He was born October 30, 1942, to the late Carl R. and Lenora S. Johnson in Passaic, NJ. After graduating from high school, in 1960 in Montclair, NJ, Mr. Johnson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. In 1964 he started his civilian life, settling in Atlanta, GA in 1971. Mr. Johnson was self employed, his company was RB Johnson and Associates contracting for Spectrum Systems of Pensacola, his main account was Southern Power, factory emissions equipment.

Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Lenora Johnson. Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Gail Huff Johnson, stepson, Jay Kirby, brothers, Stuart E. Johnson (Marietta, GA), Robert W. Johnson (Deb), nephew Rob, Niece Heather (Bradenton, FL) and David S. Johnson (Lorrie) (Harrison, NJ).

The family will receive friends to honor Mr. Johnson on Friday August 25, 2023, from 9 o’clock AM until 10:30 AM with the service celebrating his life to follow at 10:30 in the chapel at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA, 30064. Mr. Johnson will be laid to rest following the service at Georgia National Cemetery, in Canton, GA at 1 o’clock PM.
