Rev. Herbert James O'Dell, age 84, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. Funeral Service will be held at 11am Wednesday, April 24th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 2pm Wednesday afternoon.

Born and raised in Murphy, NC, Rev. O'Dell retired from Rainwater Construction Company, and attended Elizabeth Baptist Church.

Survivors include: 2 Children: Randall Herbert O'Dell of Woodstock and Maryland Gale O'Dell of Asheville, NC; 10 siblings: Bob O'Dell of Ellijay, GA, Harold O'Dell of Ellijay, GA, Max O'Dell of Murphy, NC, Geraldine Lockaby of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jo Ann Segars of Milton, GA, Joyce Stuart of Kennesaw, GA, Wanda Benefield of Marietta, GA, Carolyn Swinford of Silver Creek, GA, Judy Wilson of Jasper, GA, and Reba Burger of Marietta, GA; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Smith, William O'Dell and Erika O'Dell; 3 great-grandchildren: Rileigh Smith, Lucas Smith, and Tatum Rain O'Dell; and her best friend, Thelma Cark.
