Renate Carroll, age 82, of Douglasville, GA passed away December 17, 2021. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Mount Carmel Church in Carrollton, GA with David Gray officiating.
She was born in Fulda, Germany to Heinrich and Gerda Knapp. After moving to the United States, she was employed with the State of Georgia, Department of Banking and Finance.
Survivors include: three children: Charles, Christine, and Vince (son in love); one sister: Marlies Von Westrem of Germany; four grandchildren: Felicia, William, Marlies, and Madeline; five great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Savannah, Destiny, Lucas, and Courtney; two great-great grandchildren: Josiah and Elijah; and a large family in Germany.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Arbor Day Foundation, or Wounded Warriors.
