Raymond Thomas Motter, Jr. age 70, of , Smyrna passed away March 13, 2018. Memorial Service will be held at 5:00pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Keith Collis officiating.
Mr. Motter was born in Atlanta, GA and was retired from Lockheed Martin where he worked as an Engineer for 24 years. Ray loved to fish, referee, watch sports and especially spending time with his loving family. One of his greatest passions was coaching sports at Milford, Smyrna, and Nickajack parks.
Mr. Motter is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sherrie Motter; Children, Michelle (Rex) Wolfe, Casey (Debbie) Motter and Jason (Kristi) Motter; Grandchildren, Lindsey Roddy, Kayla Roddy, Justin Motter, Riley Motter, Mason Motter, Ryan Motter, Ella Motter, Owen Motter and Emma Grace Motter. step-sons: Bronson Midkiff and Chad (Christina) Midkiff, step-granddaughter, Taylor Prince, brothers, Alan (Debbie) Motter, sister, Debbie (Mike) Huff, Jill (Mark) Lukehart and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.

Alternative Baseball is a developmental baseball program for teens and adults with autism and special needs. The program, founded by a young man on the autism spectrum himself, strives to break barriers and power through perceptions. Participants learn skills to take with them inside and outside the sport through practices (with real drills) and 9-inning exhibition games.
