Reverend Ramino Olivier was born on October 05, 1928 to Pierre and Princina Olivier; and was the second child of 13 children. He left us on December 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Ramino Olivier was born and grew up in Hinche (Haiti) where he also went to Seminary School. He met Marie Nelly Lafalaise of Thomode while getting his education to become a pastor at the Seminary; they fell in love and were married in September of 1953. Together they started a family and had 7 children. The family eventually moved to the United States between 1969 and 1972 and made Brooklyn NY their home. Ramino had a passion for education. Though he had very little mentoring as a young man, he never ceased to learn; and he went from completing elementary school to achieving a doctorate degree in Divinity. All his life he aspired to instill in others the love of education, and the importance of nourishing one's mind. Daddy loved music, he self taught how to play the piano. He enjoyed playing dominoes and watching wrestling on television. His giving spirit was unparalleled and he took great delight to make others happy and comfortable. Over the years, countless people have been the beneficiaries of his hospitality and his loving nature. His hard work made him a true patriarch to his immediate and extended family.
Daddy left us today to join our mother Marie Nelly Oliver his wife of 66 years who died in May 10, 2019.
