Rachel Moss

Rachel Lillian Moss, age 96, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Friday, October 29, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Richard Hemphill and Rev. Thomas Blagg officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Smyrna, Georgia.

A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Moss moved to Cobb County in 1964. She was a longtime member of Riverside Church of God. She was also very artistic, and enjoyed making artificial floral arrangements, jewelry and ceramics. She was a great cook, and loved singing in the church choir and her family trio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Virlyn Moss, a son, Jerry Charles Moss, a daughter, Brenda Moss Powers, a Son-in-Law, Rev. Larry Hemphill, and a Daughter-in-Law, Jane Moss.

She was a good Christian and a godly mother. She is survived by: Daughter, Diane Hemphill, Powder Springs, GA; Son, David Moss, Marietta, GA; Brother, Rev. Doile King, Lilburn, GA; 6 Grandchildren, Michael, Steve, Chris, Scott, Rick and Reneau; 10 Great Grandchildren.
